How to Join Merchant Navy ?
Direct entry to Merchant Navy is also possible - students who have completed their 10th or 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) or B.Tech are eligible to join merchant navy.
Also 12th with ( Arts/ Commerce ) are eligible to join merchant navy.
Colleges For Merchant Navy must be Approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS).
Candidates have to be unmarried Indian citizens (male or female).
Normal vision is required but glasses up to plus or minus 2.5 may be allowed.
Admission is through an entrance followed by a Medical Test.
